Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a unique style of massage that combines Indian deep tissue massage with coordinated breathwork and yoga stretching. The session is performed on a mat to allow free movement and flow.
Throughout the treatment, the therapist guides the recipient to maintain a steady, deep rhythmic flow of breath, preferably in and out through the nose, although a powerful exhalation through the mouth can assist release into some of the deeper stretches. This turns the massage into a moving meditation that recognises the benefits of the movement of prana throughout the body.
Another unique tool of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is the use of Calamus powder an ancient medicinal root which, when mixed with a little oil, creates a pleasant exfoliating feeling.
In Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, the body is considered to be a reflection or storehouse of the subconscious. During your session we aim to release tensions and blockages, helping you to achieve a deeper level of healing.
